Soldered memory upgrade to improve performance?

I currently have a (Hackintosh)Mi Notebook 14 running Sonoma 14.7.2. I have configured everything in it like graphics acceleration and all. But at times it still struggles to keep up, like using multiple chrome tabs and all. It has 8gbs of ddr4 ram and 512gbs of ssd. The laptop is nearly 5-6 years old. The battery lasts about 2 hours. Can i upgrade the memory in any way(they say it is soldered). Will replacing the battery give it a performance boost and long battery run time(company claimed 12-14 hours of battery while buying). Or should i just buy a new M1 Macbook Air(8/256) for 650 dollars [M2(16/256) costs around 950 dollars. (I do not live in US)] as I will be pursuing an engineering degree starting from next month. I don’t wanna spend too much if I could get my job done with less.
