So I apparently messed up. I don't even really understand what happened.
I have a Mac Pro 5,1 running as a Plex server. It is running Mojave with the stock GPU . I have OpenCore Legacy Patcher Installed so that I can use the machine to boot off a windows drive if needed. Everything has been fine for months.
Today I installed a RX 570 GPU which I was running on my other 5,1 without issue. It booted into OSX perfectly, then I opened OCLP and created a new patch (I figured it would tell the computer there is a new GPU ) - then I installed the patch to the internal drive, installed the EFI and then reboot and it goes to the Prohibited Screen no matter what I try. I even put the Apple GPU in there and a clean Mojave disk and it still goes to Prohibited Symbol. I moved the drive to my other mac and it also goes to prohibited screen.
Is the problem with the drives? Is the problem with the boot ram? I just don't know what went wrong. I got into recovery and was able to get to terminal and mount the efi boot, but it won't boot into it. I still have OpenCore on an external drive but when I plug it in, the boot loader cannot see the external drive.
Any help? I would love to fix this stupid mistake.
