I can't find any recent info on what cpus are possible to upgrade with. In 6-7 year old posts there are talks about attempting to get ivy bridge cpus to work, and I find a very generic looking page dated in 2025 claiming ivy bridge is working, but it looks very "generated" and with no sources. Supposedly there needs to be changes done to nvram to support ivy bridge, and that was what was being attempted to do many years back. Is it still sandy bridge only, or did anyone crack the ivy bridge problem? Does OCLP address this issue in any way?
