Anyone find it hard to justify moving onto Apple silicon?

I have really been wanting to move onto Apple silicon with the recent M4 MBA release but it's so hard to justify when my 2015 Intel MBPs still work so well. There are other benefits such as better speakers, the 15 in MBA screen and more importantly that battery life! I do very basic tasks and I can get 8 hours or so of battery life on my 13 in 2015 MBP but that's only if I am using it for office work. However, when I start running other simultaneous programs (Slack, Google messages, Whats app, Shared Google spreadsheets and running Youtube in the background the battery life can drop to the 5 hour range.

It would be nice to have longer battery life...Has anyone here regreted moving onto apple silicon and putting their intel machines to rest?
