WiFi not working on MBP 5,2 on Monterey

Updated a 2009 17” MBP to Monterey, using OCLP 2.2.0. SMBIOS is spoofed to MacBookPro 14,2, which has worked great for me when installing Monterey in the past. Install went fine. It runs remarkably well and everything seems to work, except WiFi. I have installed root patches and built and installed OpenCore to the drive. It sees all the networks in range, so I know it isn’t a hardware issue. But it repeatedly tells me “The wifi network “my network” could not be joined”.

I have tried the following:

  1. Reinstalled root patches 3 or 4 times
  2. Did PRAM/NVRAM reset
  3. Plugged laptop into Ethernet and did root patches again
  4. In terminal, the following command: sudo networksetup -setairportnetwork en1 (network name) (password). This works, it connects to my wifi network. But when I reboot it reverts to not being able to connect.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
