Hi all, I've followed Dortania's Install Guide (https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/) to setup a USB for installing macOS High Sierra on a PC with old cobbled together parts, however after reviewing the BIOS settings no matter what I change I cannot get it to boot from the USB, it just gets stuck at 'Verifying DMI Pool Data...' PC Specs: *Xeon E5450 *Gigabyte GA-G41M-Combo *4 GB (2x 2 GB) DDR3 *AMD R5 240 *Silicon Power 256 GB SATA SSD The only relevant setting from the guide for the BIOS settings was Fast Boot, which I have disabled per the guide. I have tried disabling/re-enabling Virtualization Technology, changed On-Chip Sata Mode from Auto to Enhanced and disabled the Parallel Port. Below is a list of my BIOS settings: · MB Intelligent Tweaker (M.I.T.) o Robust Graphics Booster = Auto o CPU Clock Ratio = 6 X o CPU Host Clock Control = Disabled o PCI Express Frequency (Mhz) = Auto o Performance Enhance = Standard o (G)MCH Frequency Latch = Auto o System Memory Multiplier (SPD) = Auto o DRAM Timing Selectable (SPD) = Auto o Advanced Timing Control § Channel A Timing Settings · Everything set to auto § Channel A Driving Settings · Everything set to auto § Channel B Timing Settings · Everything set to auto § Channel B Driving Settings · Everything set to auto o CPU Vcore = Auto o CPU Termination = Auto o DRAM Voltage = Auto · Standard CMOS Features o Date = Jan 20 2025 o Time = 18 : 54 : 38 o IDE Channel 0 Master [None] § IDE Channel 0 Master = Auto § Access Mode = Auto o IDE Channel 0 Slave [SPCC Solid State Disc] § IDE Channel 0 Slave = Auto § Access Mode = Auto o IDE Channel 1 Master [ST3250318AS] § IDE Channel 1 Master = Auto § Access Mode = Auto o IDE Channel 1 Slave [None] § IDE Channel 1 Slave = Auto § Access Mode = Auto o Drive A = 1.44M, 3.5” o Floppy 3 Mode Support = Disabled o Holt On = All , But Keyboard · Advanced BIOS Features o Hard Disk Boot Priority § 1. I've tried including as much info as possible, but if there's anything else needed I'll be happy to provide. [link] [comments] |
