I was trying to boot into Big Sur with my Mac Mini mid 2011 and OCLP. Because I had a "Waiting for debugger" message I decided to flush the Nvram, as suggested by someone on a forum.
I did it with command line first (at OCLP boot - space bar and then CMD line Nvram reset), and also with Option CMD + P + R key, several times. All leaded to black screen and no boot option.. I've tried numerous things since then and nothing worked.
- Different keys combo ant start: option, option+R, option-cmd+R, etc.
- Resetting SMC
- Changing the monitor output to mini Display / HDMI
Obv, I tried different cable combination. Obv monitor and cable have been tested with another PC and are working fine.
And then, boom, I plugged the Mac Mini to my TV and now it worked! I've booted up in old Mac os Sierra, rebooted.
However, when I plug it back to my monitor, nothing. I stil have a black screen.
There is a tons of posts about this problem everywhere, and no solution. Macrumous, official Apple forums.. From what I understand, OCLP have changed something on my NVRAM or EFI so I could use metal graphic.
Any idea how can I revert this?
