macbook pro mid 2012 running slow after installing macos sequoia using oclp 2.2.0

hi everyone, i have mid 2012 13" macbook pro (i5, upgraded to 8gb ram, 128gb ssd).

i got this macbook 5 months ago. it was running high sierra, but then i heard about opencore legacy patcher and decided to give it a try. i installed macos ventura after completely erasing my ssd. at first, it worked perfectly super smooth and fast.

but after a few days, it started to slow down. boot times got longer, apps opened slowly, and then other problems started. my mac restarts randomly when it sleeps for about an hour, showing the error "your computer restarted because of a problem." it also gets stuck on the loading screen sometimes, which has forced me to reinstall macos more than once.

other issues like stuttering videos, random automatic logouts, problems with user accounts not showing up

right now, i’m using macos sequoia, and while it’s working okay, i’m worried it might not last because it is also slowing down the whole system.

i’ve heard about kernel modifiers that supposedly help sync kexts (drivers) for specific mac models, but i have no idea how to do this or if it would even help.

is this just a general problem with running ventura on older macs, or am i doing something wrong? i’d really appreciate any advice or solutions to make this work.

thank you!
