Login Screen seems strange

Login Screen seems strange

Hi folks...

I don't know if this is normal behaviour, or whether it is something that can be changed / fixed, but my login screen is looking 'strange' for want of a better word.

Some insight or feedback one way or the other would be well received. I did have a look about/google and couldn't find a definitive answer.

I recently upgraded from Monterey to Sequoia 15.2 using OpenCore-Patcher 2.2.0 on my MacBook Pro 13 inch retina 2015 model (macbookpro12,1). It has an i5 2.9GHz CPU, integrated Iris 6100, 1TB sabrent SSD and 16GB ram.

Everything went fine, no errors, a smooth install for all intents.

At the login screen:

  • User images and names are displayed, in the 'old way', across the middle horizontally.

  • The background is plain black, no background image at all.

  • The password entry box that pops up when a user is selected is light grey, with white 'Enter Password' text, and both the shutdown and restart buttons are coloured in the same light grey with white highlights.

It all just looks a bit odd.

Once I log in, it does take a bit of time, first a plain grey wallpaper is shown before my selected one loads up. When it does, it's fine, no flickering etc.

Once everything is loaded, the system seems to run just fine (first day, so early to call, but touch wood things seem to run a little smoother even than Monterey, which is reassuring).

I've gone through the usual NVRAM and SMC resets as well as running the OpenCore post-install a couple of times now just to be safe... No errors at any stage.

Logging out, after first logging in, I get the expected wallpaper, with user circles at the bottom.

Thanks in advance for any input!

(I've added a couple of pics, soz for the quality, hard with reflections to demonstrate!... But hopefully gives a bit of an idea!)
