So did they update from the control panel. I needed to do root update which it notified me of automatically. It took about an hour plus to download and install. Even though I did patches while downloading to prepare, on reboot I lost wifi, bluetooth, internal keyboard and trackpad. This was typical. I already had a usb hub with mouse and keyboard ready and an ethernet cable. Did the root patches etc. and rebooted. After 4 min of settling down and doing some cloud sync the mbp was running well. I actually even screen shared from another computer because it was taking awhile. Went ahead and updated chrome also.
It’s chugging well 15 years and going. Hard to believe.
