Hey guys,
Still new to this OCLP stuff but am trying to explore more variations. I recently tanked my OCLP install by trying to dual boot with windows, which took over the OCLP boot option and would only allow me to boot windows. I re-formatted the drive and did a fresh OS install, but now I am wondering why I went OCLP in the first place.
I enjoyed the cleaner look and had no trouble with browsing speeds, but on Catalina (10.15.7) I still have pretty quick loading. Considering lag with system preferences and bugs for unsupported software, what is OCLP used for? What can I do with Sequoia that I can't do with Catalina and a little creativity? Or, how much faster do the other OS's start up or process things?
Again, I am new to this so feel free to correct the hell out of anything I said. Just trying to get a better experience from what I know can be an amazing computer. I am currently using MBP (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2012) with 8 gb RAM. I also want to upgrade this computer if possible, but I keep seeing mixed information about whether the memory is soldered onto the board or not. Thanks in advance for your help!
