 | Bought an EFI Password locked to take the mint condition frame a long time ago (it was a 2011 27” iMac (which had an i5-2500S and a Radeon 6750m) ) Now I decided to fix it, so I bought a fully working board by $14, and a lot of extra parts: - i7-2600 - Nvidia K3100m - Kingston A400 240GB - 4x8GB@1333Mhz - another heat sink for the Nvidia that has three copper pipes instead of two and was modded to fit the Nvidia GPU. - the SSD SATA cable to preserve the original HDD and DVD reader I’ve installed windows, and I was able to get everything working (even the screen brightness and audio) So I was thinking what OS would this thing run smoothly [link] [comments] |
