Storing media on External SSD(Formatted to APFS) that has OCLP installed

I have installed macOS Ventura on my late 2012 iMac through an external ssd and it is running smooth. I would like to store some photos and files(large videos which are eating up space on my iPhone) by just airdropping them as I am running low on storage.

questions: 1) Would I be able to access them later from a different computer just by plugging the ssd?

2) Is it better to store in the internal storage (1TB HDD no fusion drive)? If yes please let me know how

I am completely new and have no idea how exactly oclp works and stores the data
