Hey everyone. Iam planning to my upgrade my old 2011 iMac to Ventura but before I proceed I want to ask a few questions. So I was reading about the the issues introduced with Ventura and basically the guide listed three of them. USB 1.1 support, legacy wireless support and non metal graphics acceleration. I don’t think I need to worry about the USB 1.1 issue since in the guide it says imacs10,x and older reply on it. With the other two issues it says “resolved” . Does this mean that the new version of oclp automatically takes care of these problems? “ Ventura now requires AVX2.0 support in the CPU (opens new window) for native graphics acceleration. Thus while your GPU may be natively supported, you cannot run Ventura officially with these GPUs , Currently at this time, OpenCore Legacy Patcher only supports patching the AMD Polaris and Vega Graphics stack to no longer require AVX2.0” I was reading this and I found no mention of support for the Tera scale 1 and 2 Gpu’s. Does this mean it’s not supported yet? Because I have amd Radeon HD 6750M gpu. But then when scroll down and click on the non metal graphics acceleration issue it says that the amd Tera scale 1 and Tera scale 2 gpu are applicable to patching by oclp…iam a bit confused by this because above in relation AVX2.0 support the guide doesn’t mention any type of support for my gpu but then in the non metals acceleration part it does. If someone could clarify on this I’d be really greatful [link] [comments] |
