I was running the official Apple Monterey update when my system suddenly became extremely slow. I attempted to resolve the issue by erasing the drive and reinstalling Monterey with “cmd + opt + R,” but that failed.
After several attempts, I finally managed to reinstall it on the third try, but unfortunately, the speed issue persisted.
I then decided to try installing macOS Sequoia using OCLP. The process was straightforward, and it worked well for some time. However, I experienced unexpected shutdowns and faced long boot times.
Thinking that Sequoia might be too demanding for my MacBook, I opted to reinstall Monterey, this time with OCLP. The experience was seamless, and for a while, my machine felt brand new. Sadly, after just a few hours of work, it encountered sudden shutdowns again and returned to being extremely slow.
I’m looking to find a solution. What could be causing these issues, and should I consider downgrading to another OS? I'm feeling quite frustrated with my system and would appreciate any guidance on how to proceed.
