Running Ventura on an Early 2015 MacBook Pro 13" with faulty RAM (a success)

Merry Christmas everyone :) Just wanted to share a quick story of how I ended up "saving" my faulty 2015 MBP 13" with OCLP.

I was on Big Sur and I wanted to update to Monterey, but I would keep getting "An Error Occurred Loading the Update" at around 14 minutes (like this). I tried everything including the Monterey Installer from the App Store, Internet Recovery (cmd+option+R), resetting NVRAM and SMC, bootable USB installer, and safe mode, but nothing worked. It turns out I had a faulty memory module (PPM001) according to Apple diagnostics.

The solution was to place the SSD into the another 2015 MBP and install Ventura (or later) normally using OCLP and then transfer it back to the main MBP after it finished installing everything. I know I could technically install Sequoia but I just randomly chose Ventura and stuck with it. It is currently running buttery smooth so far! Here are some pics (Dropover link). It might crash soon due to the RAM, but hey, I get to use the latest OS's 🙏🏻

P.S. does anyone know what faulty RAM has to do with the installer halting at "14 minutes remaining"? I was able to install and run Big Sur without any problems before this. What exactly about the transition from Big Sur to Monterey causes the issue?
