Macbook charger turns green ad charges computer, but macbook doesn't recognize it?

Just for some context, this is a newer computer i got this near the end of 2023 and it's only 1 years old, I haven't been changing any activities I do on the computer for it to change its behavior, but recently the charger doesn't work anymore and has been acting weird, it turns green and the macbook can turn on but it keeps saying 0 and everytime i unplug the macbook it automatically turns off because it's at 0% And i also notice it says "service battery" And I'm confused as a person who's not in tech or familiar with computers if that means that there's something wrong with my computer battery or, charger I need help!
