I have a question that could make my day depending on what answers I get. So I want to dual boot Arch Linux on my Macbook pro 2012 with an Nvidia and Intel GPU. However getting the integrated graphics to work has been so much harder to get working compared to Nvidia (a first for a Linux machine lol) I have scoured forum posts and documentation and found out that Macbooks for some reason hide the integrated graphics when dual booting. As far as getting my igpu to work on Arch Linux, according to the wiki, I need to build a modified version of Grub using a patch that is formatted strange, and use an ancient version of gfxcardstatus that isn't hosted anywhere. As awesome as the Arch Wiki is, I think their article on Macbooks is kinda old. However upon looking into the settings shown in the opencore legacy patcher app, I saw an option called Windows GMUX that exposes the igpu to windows partitions. That got me really curious and excited.
So here are my questions,
Does this option in the Open Core app also work on Linux distributions?
Do I need to reinstall Open Core to get this setting to work, or I just need to tick the box and it should work?
I also saw that there is this thing called Open Linux Boot that makes booting into Linux easier. Is something like that necessary for this setting to work on Linux or is it just a fun extra?
Thanks for looking at my questions.
