Does the touchbar still work on Sequoia?

I'm asking since I don't remember reading anywhere it's still supported.

It has never worked since I got my Macbook Pro 13", 2016 from a relative, now I have to bring it to a repair shop for a problem with a fan, would it be worth it asking to replace the touchbar or check out why it isn't working?
