Z790 Users - Please do this test on Final Cut Pro 11 - Trying to confirm Intel limitation

Hi,

Final Cut Pro 11 has new feature called Magnetic Mask. It should work on intel Macs. But I am noticing something and can't tell if is a general Intel issue or just a hackintosh issue and moreover if it is just an issue for 14 gen (and 13,12,11).

Here is the FCP 11 link:

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/final-cut-pro/id424389933?mt=12

There is trial version that one can download.

It requires Sonoma 14.6 or later.

My specs are

Asus Z790 ProArt

14700K

6959 XT

Sonoma 14.7

OC 1.0

SMBIOS iMacPro1,1

Here is the problem:

If you load a video clip then place magnetic mask on a subject (just add a control point on the subject), do the analysis then hit Done, all looks fine. But actually the mask is slightly transparent. This isn't a blend opacity issue. The opacity setting is 100%, but internally the mask is applying a slight transparency. This is visible when you add soe solid background under the masked subject. Pure white, etc, etc. That background comes through the masked subject a bit.

Also, if you use the brush to refine the mask, each brush stroke erodes the entire mask. So use, say, 15 brush strokes - be it add or remove brush - and the entire mask just disappears.

Here is video showing what I mean:

Hoping others can test this and confirm whether they see similar glitches.

On my macbook Air M2 I don't see these glitches.

thanks
