I've been using OCLP for awhile now and have been happy with Sonoma but wanted to try Sequioa just to see what it is like. In the past I would always do a fresh install as this seems to be the recommendation. However I've used my Sonoma OCLP MBP 2015 for awhile and didn't want to redo all my files and apps and etc. I decided to just try updating directly from Sonoma to Sequioa and it works great?
I updated OCLP -> did root patches then did the setting update to Sequoia -> Then after it finished installing ran the OCLP post install patches and everything works fine! A lot of videos recommend fresh install vs this direct upgrade. Did I just get lucky or is there other stuff under the hood that might yield it's ugly head later on with this update method?
