Need help with booting up venture on my hard drive instead of my USB

I have a 27" late 2015 iMac. I have successfully installed the latest Ventura. I'm upgrading from monterey, but when it asks if I want to use the usb drive every time I reboot the computer or my hard drive I'll pick hard drive and I did the correct one it tells me to restart holding the option key down and choose opencore legacy patcher, but it won't install to my Macintosh HD no matter what i do. I also just noticed that when I click finder, my Macintosh HD does not show up. My recent files is what it opens to. I also can't right-click on anything and my sound is not working. Send help
