How to boot without usb?

Early 2015 MacBook Air, sonoma 14.7.1, using the newest release of OCLP

I’ve tried dozens of times- it prompts me to install to my HDD and I agree, and then it tells me to reboot into the disk selection. When I select my hdd it gives me the 🚫 screen with a link to Apple support. How do I actually get it to install the os to my hard drive. What do I do once I restart and get to disk selection?
