Correct way to install linux

I triple boot Linux (Fedora), macos and Windows on my Mac Pro 5,1. I plan to replace Fedora with debian. MacOS (and oclp) are on one drive and windows and linux on another ssd (/dev/sdb)

My question is where to install grub? Should i install it to /dev/sdb? I want to make sure it won't mess with nvram and oclp. If I don't install grab at all, will oclp still be able to detect and boot Debian?
