Blank screen when booting

I have a 27" iMac from Late 2012 running macOS 11. When starting, I get a blank, white screen. I can reset NVRAM (which does nothing) or boot into Internet Recovery which seems to work at first but after some time it freezes up. I cant get into the boot menu. What i did was update OpenCore to 2.1.0. After that, I shut it down for the night. This afternoon, it booted up normally but after a short while it became awfully laggy before freezing up completely. I did a force shutdown and now, as mentioned before, resetting NVRAM is the only thing that works reliable. I found this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/OpenCoreLegacyPatcher/comments/1gimql3/help_installed_new_opencore_version_installed/ and the issue might be related however i don't even get to the Apple Logo. Currently this thing is a 21 pound brick and I'd like for it to not be that but an actual computer. Any help is appreciated :)

Edit: I currently have internet recovery booted with a very slim hope of it actually doing something and boot into recovery.
