Battery drain/sleep drain while on Sequoia -MBP 13" 2017 A1708

Hi,

So, I am a total novice to OCLP and I have an issue I would love to consult with more experienced people.

I am currently using a MacBook Pro 2017 13", i5 8GB RAM.

The original Apple SSD has died a few days ago so I decided to try a cheaper way of getting a few more years from the Mac and try to use the latest macOS version while I'm at it.

I am currently running an adaptor with a Hynix HFM256GDGTNG 2230 256GB SSD.

Along with that, I have installed the latest OCLP and macOS Sequoia 15.1.1

Since reinstalling the machine (a few hours ago), I have made sure to sync all of my iCloud-based data and install all the apps as well as restart a few times.

I also have applied the hibernation workaround in OCLP and written it to my EFI as the device would not sleep at all (fans spinning, getting warm).

Now to the problem: I have noticed an increase of temps overall (the upper housing gets hot, the fans ramp up a lot) as well as a heightened battery drain while idle as well as when the device is asleep.

I would like to ask, whether some of you have any recommendations on how to make the power drain as manageable as possible (as of now, It ate through about 25 percent of battery while browsing some static articles in Safari).
PS: Yes, I am aware, that this could be as much of a OCLP issue as an SSD compatibility/integration issue, It's that I can't seem to find any relevant non-deprecated info regarding this issue.

Thanks in advance, would appreciate any input! :)
