Hey everyone, as you may noticed, I am new to the OCLP community and immedately made a (several) mistakes. During the last few weeks I installed OCLP on a clean new SSD with Sonoma and everything is working fine so far. BUT, whenever there was an OCLP update I accidentally installed (mounted) and EFI on one of my other 4 internal Hard Drives. This is not a problem as long as I use my SSD with Sonoma, it starts perfectly. But I still use my previous system (Mojave), so I physically change the SSDs in slot number 1 of my Mac Pro 5,1. The thing is, the Mac doesn't boot Mojave automatically. If I do nothing, the computer just shuts off after a few seconds. When I hold down the "option/alt" key, I get the boot picker as usual and I choose the HD "Macintosh HD 1", which you can see on the left of the attached photo. Then Mojave loads and everything works as usual. So, the question is: how do I remove the EFIs from the other internal HDs and make my old system (Mojave) boot automatically again, without always holding down the option key during the start and pick the Mojave HD? Just to be clear, the SSD with Sonoma is removed from the Mac when I use my Mojave HD. On my Mojave HD there is no OCLP installed. It is just a regular standard installed OS. Attached is a photo of the boot picker, there are 3 EFIs installed, each on a different internal HD/SSD. I wanna delete these. My Sonoma SSD won't be effected, Sonoma, OCLP and the EFI are installed on ONE SSD. Alternativly I am fine with leaving the EFIs where they are, but how can I make the Mac Pro to automatically choose the "Macintosh HD 1" for booting? Thanks a lot in advance! [link] [comments] |
