For whatever reason it appears that OCLP 2.0.2 root patches fail to boot on 15.0.1 with a "bad cpu type in executable" for one of the many binaries launched at boot (unpatched boots fine. This also appears to affect real Macs). I used a cloned volume from my working Haswell Sequoia DB7 root patched T440s to cheat this. Specifics: Used grub setup_var to set the DVMT preallocated stolen memory above 32MB, as well as disablling the notorious CFG Lock on Haswell.
