need to update OS on my workstation which i made 5 years ago.

I don’t remember much. Can i just do these steps?

1. download new mac os
2. download diskMaker x and run it to make bootable usb
3. use clover bootloader to create EFI partition on my bootable usb.
4. use clover bootloader to access current EFI folder on my workstation and copy it to usb.
5. in bios load from usb and follow instruction.
6. once it done use clover again to copy EFI from sub to workstation EFI.
