I’m not sure if this is the right sub to post in, but I have a iMac 27 inch (mid 2010) and I’m in the process of upgrading the parts in it. I’ve gotten everything (cpu, ram, SSD) but I’ve come across post of people talking about also upgrading the GPU’s in old iMacs as well and then flashing a custom bios to the card to get it work properly.
Can anyone with any experience (specifically with my model) give tips on what GPU I should look for that is the best price/performance ratio? And also where do I get the bios files for said GPU?
If this isn’t the right sub I’m sorry, please point me to the right sub or in the right direction.
