I have a MacBook Pro 15 mid 2010 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 which I've upgraded with an 500GB SSD and maxed the RAM to 8GB. It's running pretty well for a 14 year old machine but it's limited because if the dated MacOS High Sierra. I've moved on to newer MAC's but my 8 year old son is interested in having his own first laptop and the MacBook Pro could be a good starter.
So my question is, what MacOS version should I try to upgrade to based on the specs of the MacBook Pro?
