I got Seqouia successfully installed and did the root patches after upgrading from Monterey. When it rebooted, it would boot with the progress bar up to 25% or so then shut off and do this on loop. Unlike what I've seen other people have happen, mine doesn't hang at 25%, it just straight-up went black and chimed, going back to the boot picker and doing the same thing on loop.
But when I tried an NVRAM reset, there is now suddenly no display output. My monitor says "No display input" a few seconds after the Mac mini comes on. I can confirm it's NOT a dead iGPU, nor is the HDMI port damaged, because I decided to put a Linux Mint USB in there and let it stay on for a bit, when I came back an hour later it was sitting on the Linux Mint lock screen. I haven't been able to reproduce that since however. But when I rebooted we were back at the same problem. I can hear it chime and bootloop like I described before, but there's no display. SMC reset hasn't worked, nor has switching HDMI cables. It's worth noting that before these display issues I actually could get into recovery mode, but "blessing" the volume didn't work. I don't have another SSD for it, but I'm fine with wiping the drive, just rather not if I don't need to.
I use a 27-inch 1440p Phillips monitor that's a few months old (worked fine before, works with my PC).
My mac mini is a Late 2012 with a 2.6GHz Quad-core i7, and 16GB of RAM, with an HD 4000 iGPU. It also has an SSD that was replaced only a few months ago, and works fine. I tried booting it with 8GB (only one slot populated), but nothing changed. I've owned this machine for a few months and it's worked fine with Monterey and I did get into Seqouia the first time after install successfully. I do not have another Mac, only a ThinkPad X270 and a PC.
I **desperately** need the display issues fixed and after that I can figure out what's going on.
Any help appreciated, I'm at my limit here.
