I use a Late 2009 iMac and have successfully been able to upgrade to Ventura. I am trying to upgrade to Sonoma, but everytime I hold the option key to open the normal Mac boot picker, it goes straight into the OpenCore picker instead. How do I fix this? Since it keeps doing this, I do not know if I have booted into the EFI Boot or not. This might relate into another issue I have where when I try to open the “Install MacOS Sonoma” disk, it takes me to the prohibitory symbol.
