I have a wuite good iMac from 2013:
21.5 screen I5 2.7ghz Intel iris pro graphics 500gb ssd 16gb of ddr3 1600 ram
Originally its latest software is Catalina 10.15.7 but with the help of patcher i tried a few different os (Sonoma and Sequoia) however both of them runs quite sluggish compared to Catalina. I mean on Catalina all apps like safari music maps messenger notes etc opens in less than 1 second, however on Sequoia it feels like i have to wait a few seconds (like 2-3s). Is this normal? Or is there a way to fix it? Which patched OS runs best on above mentioned imac so that i wouldnt have to compromise on speed? I could install older version if it works faster.
P.s: both sonoma and sequoia were tried on completely wiped ssd drive
