I have 2 gpu's, nvidia 2060 super, and rx 580. I am annoyed that I have to switch my hdmi/DP every time I want to switch from windows to mac as I do it very often. Just today, I added another hdmi into each of my monitors so that I can just switch the input on my monitors instead of having to reach down under my desk to switch it from 1 gpu to the other. It works now, but im wondering whether I could get the auto input switching on my monitors to work. There's only one issue tho, when I boot into mac, my nvidia 2060 is still on, but it is stuck on the apple loading screen. Obviously I cannot boot into macos with my nvidia card, but my monitor recongizes that its displaying something and it wont automatically switch to my rx 580. I do have it disabled in mac using the device properties method, but im wondering if using the SSDT method would fix this or not.
Is there a method to cut the display through my nvidia card after I boot into macos so my monitors can automatically switch inputs? Has anyone gotten this to work?
