AirPlay Receiver keeps crashing in Sequoia/OCLP 2.0.2 on 2015 MacBook Pro 13in

The only thing I have changed in OCLP build settings are unchecking "Disable Firmware Throttling". I have "Feature Unlock" set to "Enabled", which was the default.

All I want is to stream audio from my iPhone 16 Pro to my Mac, I have no current use for screen mirroring or anything advanced - I just want to set up my laptop as an AirPlay receiver for audio.

I currently have the AirPlay Receiver enabled in MacOS Settings, and I have "Allow AirPlay for" set to "Everyone".

From my phone, I can see my MacBook as an AirPlay device to stream from, but when I select it I get an error saying "Unable to connect to "My MacBook Pro", and on my Mac it looks like the menu bar crashes. All of the menu bar icons temporarily disappear, and then come back.

Yesterday it did this, and I resolved it by restarting my Mac. This worked temporarily, so I was hopeful, but this morning it is not working. Same behavior as yesterday. I think I maybe I can play around and get it working again, but I want to resolve the underlying issue so it is stable.

I downloaded a trial of AirServer, and it works flawlessly. However, I don't want to pay $20 for a feature by Mac should be capable of natively. I am open to a 3rd party solution as long as it is free/open-source. I'm even open to something CLI-based as long as I can automate it w/ some scripts.

But I can't help feeling that the native AirPlay Receiver should work w/ OCLP... Any ideas? Am I missing something in build settings?
