Hey all - I used to hackintosh about 10 years ago, worked well as a desktop at home. Then got over it and bought a gaming system. I currently use a work issued laptop which I can’t do lots of stuff on but still have my gaming PC which is an absolute beast.
Anyway - I want to get a Mac as I’ve essentially invested in the whole Apple Eco system (iPad, Apple iPhone, AirPods Pro etc) for daily productivity use only, study etc.
I was looking at purchasing a Mini PC, basically the TRIGKEY S5 5800H. It’s on special now at a great discount and I’ve heard some great success stories with this Mini PC running OSX.
Essentially what I’m after is some feedback from you all, if I was to get a MacBook Pro with a docking station, vs a TRIGKEY Mini PC, what feature would I be missing on? Does everything essentially work? Cloud services /imessage etc? Stability?
With the tax savings on getting the MacBook Pro I could get roughly $800-$900 (AUD) off the marked price of a MacBook Pro 16/500GB.
Thanks for reading
