Successfully Installed macOS Ventura on Firebat MN56 with Ryzen 5 5500U Mini PC – Need Help Switching to RX580 eGPU

Hey everyone,

I recently followed this guide https://forum.amd-osx.com/threads/ventura-on-a-firebat-mn56-mini-pc-ryzen-5-5600h.5051/ to install macOS Ventura on my Firebat MN56 mini PC, which has a Ryzen 5 5500U instead of the 5600H mentioned in the guide. Fortunately, everything worked perfectly, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth after I replaced the stock WLAN card with an Intel AX200.

Now, I’ve added a used RX580 along with a PCIe 4.0x4 riser extender (M.2 NVMe to PCIe 4.0x16) and a Dell DA2 power supply, and I’d like to switch from using the iGPU to the RX580. Ideally, I’d also like to explore the option of using both the iGPU and the RX580 together if that's possible.

I’m wondering what adjustments I need to make to the original setup. Specifically, does replacing the NootedRed.kext with WhateverGreen.kext suffice to get the RX580 working, or is there anything else I need to configure to get both GPUs working side by side?
