[Success Story] iMac 2011 + OCLP 2.0.2: iPad Mirroring Just Works!

I just updated to OCLP 2.0.2 yesterday on my iMac mid-2011, running macOS Sequoia 15.0, and I wanted to share something amazing that I didn’t expect. While messing around with my iPad, I randomly decided to see if I could mirror my iPad’s screen to any nearby monitor, and to my surprise, I saw my iMac listed as an option! I selected it, and boom — it just worked!

I’ve never been able to do this before, even though I’ve tried many times in the past. I think this might be part of a new update because this is the first time the option has even appeared for me.

This has completely breathed new life into my iMac 2011, which I mostly used for light web surfing, YouTube, and note-taking. Now, being able to mirror my iPad (and even my iPhone 13!) to take advantage of the big screen is a game-changer.

For anyone curious or running into a similar situation, I’ll drop my iMac’s specs below and include proof of the screen mirroring working. This has been an awesome discovery, and I’m super happy with what OCLP has allowed me to do with this old machine!
