Sonoma 14.5 working on 17" MBP 2011 only 8Gb ram but...

I was lucky to find a 17" mbp 2011with the non glare hi res display. After having some issues after 1.5.0 update I did a fallback to 1.4.3 and this works like a charm. Of course this model has the faulty amd graphics but oclp has done a great job in avoiding problems related to this.

So here's my question. Since every boot up leads to the oclp update available window, should I give it a new try?
