Just finished installing macOS 15.0 on a Microsoft Surface Laptop Go, and I’m pretty stoked! This was my first Hackintosh adventure, using OpenCore 1.0.1 with a cocktail of kexts: AppleALC, BigSurface, BlueToolFixup, IntelBluetoothFirmware, IntelBTPatcher, itlwm, Lilu, USBToolBox, UTBMap, VirtualSMC, and WhateverGreen. Here are the specs:
So far everything works pretty smoothly—well, except for bluetooth (will try to fix it), sleep mode (any tips?) and the fingerprint sensor. The boot time’s under 40 seconds. As for the fingerprint sensor, there might be hope since Lenovo has reportedly released a Linux driver for it 🤞 I also got it dual-booting—all managed by OpenCore—with FydeOS 18.1, customized with the 6.6 Linux kernel and a few Surface tweaks. It's blazing fast! P.S. Dear Tim, if you’re reading this—how about releasing a proper 11/12-inch Mac? I don’t need (or want) an iPad. My 13-inch M2 MacBook Air is nice, but it’s not the ultra-portable Mac I want to take everywhere. [link] [comments] |
