iMessages not being received from a few contacts?

After upgrading my Macbookpro14,2 from Sonoma to Sequoia, a few messages from a few contacts won't be received on my Mac. I can send messages to those contacts and see the contact typing but their message doesn't ever go through. Not sure if I should follow Dortaina's guide on fixing iServices as I'm pretty sure it pertains to people that can't access iMessage at all. Please help before I snap my device in half 🙏
