I just installed Sonoma on my 2010 iMac 27" (11,3) and it went well for the most part, took a couple tries to get it to install, but it finally did and now loads fine.
I did the post-install root patch and the only thing it found to patch was Wi-Fi, which it did and is now working fine.
For some reason the wallpaper is still just white though. I checked the "About this Mac" and it is displaying my graphics card, so I think that all synced fine... just can't figure out why it won't render the background.
Also, it is incredibly laggy. Everything (so far) is working, but it's taking forever to do it. It was faster when I was still running High Sierra.
Any ideas on how to fix these issues? Maybe I did something wrong, I'm not sure
And yes, I have a 1Tb SSD
