Hi people!
With my 5 years old journey with hackintoshes already, started with laptops, stayed with old HEDT as a backup for my great M1 Mac, currently was able to push my HP Z420 to its limits and run macOS 15 for a few days already as semi-daily driver :D
System configuration:
CPU: Hexacore Intel Xeon E5-1650 (Sandy Bridge)
GPU: ASUS GeForce GT 640 2GB (Kepler, vBIOS mod for full UEFI support)
RAM: 48GB DDR3 1333MHz (6x8GB Micron 36KSF1G72PZ-1G4M1)
Motherboard: HP Z420 OEM motherboard
Audio Codec: Realtek ALC262
Ethernet Card: Intel 82579LM PCIe Gigabit Ethernet
Wifi/BT Card: None.
Storage:
ADATA SU650 (SSD for macOS 15 and Windows 11),
GoodRAM CX400 and Micron 1100 (SSDs for data),
Western Digital Caviar Blue (HDD for data).
BIOS revision: v3.96
What's working?
Ethernet,
Audio,
USB (except internal USB3 ports),
iServices (iMessage, FaceTime, AppStore, iCloud, etc.),
Partial Power Management (using ssdtPRGen.sh, as AICPUPM kexts doesn't work for me, no turbo boost, just base clock of 3.2GHz).
What doesn't work?
Internal USB3 ports (using PCIe ones, but sadly are only detected on OS level, not in BIOS),
Sleep (Clicking sounds on wake-up attempt),
Fan Monitoring (needs to be manually mapped in config.plist?),
AirPlay and AirDrop (although there was a point in time when AirDrop speakers worked fine but it's a fading memory now sadly),
Any Apple Silicon features obviously.
