I have my beloved, and free, 2013 MacPro (Trashcan) that I have been fighting and fighting to update to newer versions of OSX for the past month now. It's heavily updated and maxed out so I I was fearful it was due to that. Nope. Turns out 3 of my Samsung micro SD cards were just duds. I've been using them for years and never had any issues, but when I tried to install a new version of OSX via OpenCore I constantly got a "corrupt install" after restarting in recovery mode. Today I bought a new SD card and the entire process was smooth as silk. I fell like a dum dum for not checking sooner, but I've installed Ubuntu on other computers in the house recently using them so I felt they were fine.
My only hiccup so far is red boxes on Chrome. Totally unusable. Once I disabled hardware acceleration all was well. Back to work.
