Why is ethernet not working for me in the installer?

For some reason, every time I boot into the sonoma installer, ethernet just simply does not work. (not even detected)

I have an MSI B760, which uses the Realtek^® RTL8125BG 2.5G LAN controller. This means that is should be covered by the LucyRTL8125Ethernet kext, however, ethernet does not work for me even with this kext installed.

Why could this be happening? Is there another kext or SSDT that I should be using?
