Hey everyone! So, I recently installed macOS Sonoma on my PC, and everything seems to be working fine except for one teeny tiny issue – the display resolution is all wonky. I couldn't find the right option for my display's resolution (1440 x 900), and it turns out macOS wasn't recognizing my monitor's specs correctly. I even tried third-party apps to manually adjust the resolution, but they were no help. It seems like my monitor isn't providing the proper EDID info, which is causing all this trouble. I've been researching and trying to fix this in macOS, Windows, and even Linux, but no luck so far.
By the way, I've also got Windows running on the same setup, and it's playing nicely with my display. So, I'm wondering if there's a Windows app that can help me build my own EDID. And will injecting EDID even make a difference? Thanks a bunch for your help – I'm really grateful for the awesome support from the community!
