 | Hey all. I’ve been setting up an older Macbook for a family member and decided to get their computer up to date. I followed the tutorial step-by-step, minus hooking up a USB 2.0 hub because I figured I just wanted to see it get to the setup screen before I proceeded with buying a hub. However, every time I try to boot the installer, it kernel panics. Looking at the Github issue page, it seems most likely the internal USB 1.0 controller is conflicting with the USB 3.0 flash drive I have, but I can’t be certain unless I buy a USB 2.0 hub off Amazon. Does anyone know for sure if the installer will even boot without USB 2.0 peripherals attached? I’m sort of lost here. For reference, the first picture shows the screen verbose boot gets stuck on before panicking and the second picture shows the core dump from the panic. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
