Lucid Link on Apple Silicon needs change to „reduced security“ (kexts - kernel extensions).

I would like to install Lucid Link on my Mac to try if it works for my team. Upon installing it prompts me to change my security settings to „reduced security“ in order to install the kexts for Lucid.

Any experience with that? Is it safe? What to look out for? Why is it only possible with kexts?
