Is it worth trying to do a hackintosh setup for an older P53 vs just buying a use macbook pro?

I have a thinkpad p53 running an i7-9750h and been thinking of doing a hackintosh boot for it. I have never attempted one before and want to also have it usable for windows natively. Is it even worth exploring as a newb or am I better served looking for an older macbook pro since I can use the gpu instead of losing that ability with my p53? Talk to me like I'm 5. I used to have a macbook pro and ran windows 11 off it but prefer windows as my native setup and just want mac for a few small website development things
